NORITAKE Fundstück und Schnäppchen

NORITAKE wurde 1876 in Tokio und New York City von den Morimura Brothers gegründet. 1904 gründeten Mitglieder dieser Handelsgruppe die Marke Nippon Toki Kaisha, welche das beste chinesische Porzellan in Japan herstellen. Einen Noritake Gegenstand kann nur anhand des Stempels am Boden identifiziert werden. Damit kann das Herstellungsjahr herausgefunden und der Wert des Gegenstandes ermittelt werden. Auch Fälschungen werden so schnell identifiziert.

Heute war ich in meinem Lieblings Thrift Store in San Francisco. Die Regale mit Geschirr sind zum Bersten gefüllt und daher gab es heute eine Aktion. Beim Kauf eines Teiles gibt es das zweite kostenlos. Ich hatte eine Vintage Suppentasse ausgesucht, in der sich vorzüglich Kräuter ziehen lassen und fand wenig später eine wundervolle Vase. Die Vase stoch mir ins Auge durch das wundervolle Blumenmuster und die in 3D aufgesetzten Margaritten. Die Vase bekam ich also umsonst für den Kauf meiner Suppentasse ($ 1.99). Zu Hause inspizierte ich die Vase näher und sah auf dem Boden den typischen Noritake Schriftzug. Da ich schon einige Geschirrteile der Serie besitze, freute ich mich umso mehr wieder den richtigen Griff getan zu haben.

Dann habe ich im Internet nach dem Stempel gesucht und fand heraus, dass der Stempel zu den Geschirrteilen gehört, die 1946 hergestellt wurden. Meine Freude war grenzenlos. Ich habe keine Ahnung, was das gute Stück wert ist, aber eines weiss ich, es wird einen besonderen Platz in unserem Haus bekommen. Und hier nun die Fotos des Prachtstücks. Ist sie nicht wundervoll?

New Finds

I have some new Vintage finds to show you..The Thrift Store in San Francisco loaded the store with new stuff and it was a pleasure to look for new finds. I found two beautiful shabby candle holder made out of glass and silver, an old cute jewelry box, a silver bowl and this shabby thing on the right side. It opens up into three bowls. Isn't that beautiful?

Today was a lucky day because I found so beautiful things in my favorite Thrift Stores. Some I will sell in my shop like the two brooches and those two Vintage camera boxes. But the bling- bling earrings are mine. I find them so adorable and couldn't resist buying them. And then I found this b e a u t i f u l off white cottage blanket and one pillow case with roses and a seam with old lace on it. Isn't it beautiful? And when I was waiting on the cashier desk I saw this old porcelain plate with a gold handle and caught it. The last thing I bought for dEcOrAtIoN purposes is this bird cage, not a rare one but I will water it to get a rusty style and then I'll put a flower pot in it. I guess this way it get's a very romantic touch. So step by step the guest room is more and more going to be the loveliest room in the house where I can sit there quiet and with a smile on my face »-(¯`v´¯)-»

My new desk

Yesterday I found such a sweet little desk at the local thrift store that I couldn't resist. It cost only 27 bucks, it's made in the USA and now it's mine. We carried it in the backyard and today I started to sand the surface. Tomorrow I will finish it with a clear coat and than is it a new piece in our home office. Can't wait...

New Poster

We love psychedelic posters from the past and I found those two in a thrift store in San Francisco. They fit very well with all our other artwork and we bought new frames for them. I only payed $ 11 for both. On the Spindrift website you have to pay $ 20 for one of these limited posters but they are currently sold out. Happy me to find them..

Stone Mountain Purse

Hatte ich doch gestern wieder ein gutes Händchen, als ich in San Francisco im Thrift store eine schöne Sommertasche fand, die einfach klasse zu meinem Mantel passt. Sie ist nagelneu und hat mich gerade mal $ 4,49 gekostet. Normalerweise bezahlt man etwas mehr für die Taschen der Marke Stone Mountain.
